Loom is the compression-substrate that reduces all human language to its load-bearing roots - the mechanical primitives that make keys turn, seeds take, trades settle, and worlds cohere.

2. BASECELL: Arbitration of Failures
When a material's physical state no longer matches its GNOMON invariants (due to damage, stress, or error), the BASECELL layer intervenes.
Quarantine & Detection: The BASECELL acts as a monitoring cell that identifies structural decoherence. This occurs when the material's "weave" is torn or deformed, making its logical output unpredictable.
Arbitration Process: Unlike traditional software that might crash or throw an error code, the BASECELL performs physical arbitration. It assesses the "precariousness" of the structure to determine if the state can be reconciled or if the material must be "sealed" (deactivated) to prevent the error from spreading to the rest of the federated system.
State Recovery: If possible, the BASECELL uses the invariants in the GNOMON layer as a template to "reconstitute" the structure, essentially using the material's original "code" to guide its physical repair.
